Job description

Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Color Developer with a strong foundation in textile knowledge, digital color measurement, and color development in apparel. This role supports global seasonal color development initiatives and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure timely commercialization, color quality, and innovation in digital color processes.

Position Info:

  • Title: Color Developer

  • Client: Nike

  • Duration: 6-12 month

  • Location: Beaverton, OR

  • Work Mode: Onsite

Responsibilities:

  • Execute seasonal color direction and ensure on-time lab dip approvals for buy-ready commercialization.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Color Design, Textile Development, and Product Risk Engineering.

  • Guide vendors using digital color measurement and address color achievability concerns.

  • Mentor team members, onboard new hires, and contribute to color development best practices.

  • Research and lead innovation projects in digital color processes and systems improvement.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Apparel, Textiles, or related field (preferred); additional experience accepted in lieu of a degree.

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in color, textile, or product development.

  • Proven color development experience in apparel and understanding of textile construction and dyeing characteristics.

  • Ability to read and analyze spectral data; strong digital color review and colorfastness risk assessment skills.

  • Excellent detail orientation, reporting skills, and problem-solving mindset.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills; experience collaborating with global teams.

  • Must pass Munsell Hue test to confirm visual color acuity.

  • Strategic thinking with ability to manage multiple projects and navigate ambiguity
