Description - Responsibilities
  • Conduct both routine and complex clinical laboratory analyses-ranging from chemistry to immunology-while adhering to set protocols.
  • Evaluate results for reliability, address discrepancies, and undertake preventative maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
  • Support specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis when needed.
  • Record all procedures meticulously, mentor new technicians or students, and assist in upholding laboratory quality benchmarks.
  • Ensure a tidy, safe work environment while following all regulatory and accreditation standards.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree, along with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.
Certifications
  • ASCP or AMT certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within one year of hire.
  • Maintain current certification throughout employment.
