Job Title: Coffee Roaster

Location: Sunbury, PA - Coffee Roasting & Packaging Facility

Job Type: Full-Time

Shift: 1st Shift  | 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Pay Rate: $17 per hour


Join the Fresh Roasted Coffee Production Team

Fresh Roasted Coffee is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Coffee Roaster to join our growing coffee production team. In this role, you'll be a crucial part of our production team, operating our commercial roasting equipment to deliver consistently excellent coffee.

This is a hands-on production role that keeps you active throughout the day and plays a key part in delivering high-quality coffee to customers across the country.


What You'll Do
  • Operate and monitor commercial roasting equipment in accordance with production schedules and quality standards

  • Consistently produce roast profiles that meet our flavor and quality specifications across large volumes

  • Conduct quality checks on roasted coffee, assessing aroma, flavor, and consistency.

  • Maintain accurate roast logs and production records

  • Clean and maintain roasting equipment and the work area.

  • Collaborate with the production team to meet daily roasting targets

  • Maintaining an accurate database and production information via roasting software

  • Operate forklift to transfer coffee from inventory to roasting area

  • Assist with bagging and sealing roasted coffee as needed to meet production needs

  • Follow all safety and food handling protocols

  • Perform other duties as assigned


What We're Looking For
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision under pressure

  • Comfortable with learning roasting software (Cropster)

  • Ability to troubleshoot roasting issues and analyze data

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods

  • Passion for coffee and commitment to continuous improvement

  • A basic understanding of mechanical processes is beneficial, particularly for maintaining equipment

  • Requires safe forklift operations (training available)

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Manufacturing experience preferred but not required
