Job description

Description

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for  administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient  and accurate processing of donations and the mail for the accounting  department. Position is primarily first shift, however may  require work beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays, as  typical operations runs 24x7. The position requires work in a busy, open area  office where the Accounting Clerk will spend long hours sitting and using  office equipment and computers entering financial information which requires  attention to detail and high levels of accuracy. This position may also  require some lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.  

Requirements

Essential Job Duties with optional subcategories:

  1. Processes mail (including sorting, coding, and batching) as needed.  
  2. Process credit card donations and EFT donations.
  3. Help Accounts Receivable Manager with donor receipts.
  4. Maintains a clean, safe and unobstructed workspace.

5. Assists with accounting special projects, as necessary.
