Job description

Job Description C2's client, a Richfield, Wisconsin-based specialty food brand known for premium seasoning blends, rubs, and curing products, seeks a Contract AI-Enabled Content Marketer to own the daily content engine for email, blog/SEO, and ad creative through Q4 2026, with the potential to extend into the new year. This brand takes its craft seriously, combining tradition with technique. Its products are sold directly to consumers through a Shopify-powered ecommerce operation that demands consistent, high-quality content across every channel.

This is not a role for someone who waits to be told what to do. The content calendar, email platform, ad creative, analytics, and AI workflow stack all belong to this person. This is a new kind of marketing role.

You will use AI tools as your primary production method while bringing the strategic judgment, brand sensibility, and analytical rigor that AI cannot. You can lead the planning, execute the writing, orchestrate photo and video production, and still find time to audit the Shopify app stack before lunch. If you need daily direction to stay productive, this is not your role.

If you thrive when given ownership and trusted to deliver, Q4 at this brand will be exactly your speed. Start Date: Immediate Duration: Part-time contract, fewer than 40 hours per week through Q4 2026, with potential to extend Location: Richfield, WI; onsite preferred, hybrid potential after onboarding period Compensation: $35-$45 per hour, commensurate with experience Technology: TBD Job Description The AI-Enabled Content Marketer reports to the client's marketing team and owns the content production infrastructure from end to end. This is an execution-forward role with strategic scope.

You will not support someone else's content vision; you will build and run it. The role covers email, blog and SEO, ad creative, social assets, and the analytics and optimization that help everything perform better over time. Responsibilities: Content and Campaign Execution Write and publish SEO- and AIEO-optimized blog posts and recipe pages, applying editorial judgment to audience targeting, brand voice, product accuracy, and search performance.

Build and send email campaigns and manage lifecycle flows using Klaviyo. Produce ad creative, social assets, and promotional graphics using AI-assisted design tools. Build and maintain the AI creative workflow system, including measurement and ongoing optimization.

Execute the full-year campaign calendar with persona-segmented content across email, blog, social media, and advertising. Collaborate with the Creative Manager on brand consistency, the photographer and videographer on content integration, and the owners of the social media and earned media channels. Analytics, Technology, and Optimization Own the Shopify app stack by auditing, configuring, and optimizing plugins, removing those that do not perform, and implementing what is missing.

Build and maintain the marketing analytics infrastructure and drive conversion-rate optimization. Manage technical SEO and AIEO execution through the shared IT team. Support Amazon analytics and reporting in partnership with the Amazon vendor.

Requirements: Three or more years of experience in content marketing, growth marketing, or a hybrid digital marketing role. Demonstrated AI tool proficiency and a genuine passion for AI-enabled content production and workflow development. AI is the primary production method for this role.

Experience with SEO and AIEO content strategy and technical SEO fundamentals, including schema, site speed, and Google Search Console. Exposure to prompt engineering, AI workflow development, or automation tools. Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different customer personas.

Proficiency in Klaviyo or a comparable email platform, including campaign development, flow architecture, and segmentation. Working knowledge of Shopify Plus or a comparable ecommerce platform, including app management and basic analytics. Comfort working with data, including building dashboards, interpreting trends, and translating analytics into action.

Strong design sensibility, including an understanding of layout, typography, color, and visual hierarchy, with working proficiency in Canva or comparable tools. A self-directed working style and strong project-management instincts, with the ability to own an editorial calendar, production queue, and technology stack without daily supervision. Nice to Have: Experience building and optimizing Klaviyo flows and automated email sequences.

Familiarity with the Shopify app ecosystem, Liquid theme basics, and conversion-rate optimization tools. A background in food, consumer packaged goods, or specialty ecommerce. Not your type of gig, but know someone who would be interested.
