You will be responsible for driving qualified traffic, improving search visibility across traditional and AI-powered search, and scaling organic user acquisition through technical SEO, programmatic SEO, content strategy, and experimentation.

We are looking for an SEO leader who understands how organic search drives growth within product-led, self-serve businesses. You should be comfortable thinking beyond rankings, using SEO to increase qualified traffic, signups, activation, and long-term user growth.

Responsibilities
  • Own the company's SEO strategy and organic growth roadmap, driving qualified traffic, user acquisition, and revenue through organic search.
  • Develop SEO strategies that support a product-led, self-serve acquisition model, driving qualified users into the product and continuously optimizing conversion opportunities.
  • Lead technical SEO initiatives, including crawl optimization, indexing, Core Web Vitals, internal linking, structured data, and site architecture improvements.
  • Build, maintain, and scale programmatic SEO pages while identifying new opportunities to expand organic reach.
  • Develop and execute Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and AI Search strategies to improve visibility across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and other emerging search experiences.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and Content teams to launch SEO initiatives, improve landing pages, and optimize user journeys.
  • Develop scalable content strategies aligned with search intent, keyword opportunities, and AI-driven discovery.
  • Own SEO reporting, measuring rankings, impressions, organic traffic, conversions, signups, AI visibility, and business impact.
  • Conduct ongoing SEO audits and prioritize opportunities based on business value.
  • Manage external SEO agencies, freelancers, writers, and technical partners while holding them accountable for measurable outcomes.
  • Stay ahead of search algorithm updates, AI search trends, and emerging opportunities to continuously improve organic performance.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of hands-on SEO experience, including technical SEO and organic growth.
  • Experience leading SEO within a product-led, self-serve SaaS or marketplace business, with a strong understanding of how organic acquisition supports user activation, product adoption, and long-term growth.
  • Experience operating SEO programs at scale, with demonstrated success growing organic traffic and conversions.
  • Strong expertise in technical SEO, site architecture, schema markup, internal linking, crawl optimization, and indexing.
  • Experience building or managing programmatic SEO initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of AI Search, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and how large language models surface content.
  • Experience partnering closely with Product and Engineering teams to implement technical SEO improvements.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience measuring SEO performance against business outcomes.
  • Experience managing agencies, freelancers, or external SEO partners.
  • Vancouver-based or willing to relocate. Hybrid role, three days per week in the office.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HubSpot, Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Looker Studio, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Python, JavaScript, or AI-powered SEO automation workflows.

Benefits
