As an SEO Manager, you will own organic growth for a fast-growing, product-led technology company. You will drive qualified traffic and self-serve user acquisition through technical SEO, programmatic SEO, content strategy, AEO/AI Search, and experimentation.

This role goes beyond rankings and traffic. We’re looking for someone who understands how SEO supports a self-serve product journey; from discovery and landing-page conversion through signup, activation, and revenue.

Responsibilities
  • Own the SEO and organic growth strategy, driving qualified traffic, signups, conversions, and revenue.
  • Develop SEO strategies for a product-led, self-serve acquisition model, optimizing the journey from organic discovery to product signup.
  • Lead technical SEO across site architecture, crawlability, indexing, Core Web Vitals, internal linking, and structured data.
  • Build and scale programmatic SEO (pSEO) initiatives targeting high-intent search opportunities.
  • Develop AEO/GEO and AI Search strategies to improve visibility across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and other emerging search experiences.
  • Own website and content strategy, identifying scalable opportunities based on search intent, user needs, and conversion potential.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and Content to improve landing pages, user journeys, and organic conversion.
  • Own SEO reporting across traffic, rankings, signups, conversions, revenue, and AI visibility.
  • Manage external agencies, writers, freelancers, and SEO partners, holding them accountable for measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with performance marketing teams and use paid acquisition insights to improve organic growth and overall acquisition efficiency.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of hands-on SEO experience, including technical SEO and organic growth.
  • Experience owning SEO within a PLG, self-serve SaaS, marketplace, or technology company where users can discover, sign up for, and use or purchase the product without a traditional sales process.
  • Proven experience driving signups, conversions, customer acquisition, or revenue through SEO, beyond rankings and traffic.
  • Strong technical SEO expertise, including site architecture, indexing, crawl optimization, internal linking, schema, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Experience building or managing programmatic SEO initiatives at scale.
  • Strong understanding of AEO/GEO, AI Search, and LLM visibility.
  • Experience owning or managing website content strategy and working with content teams, writers, or external partners.
  • Experience working closely with Product and Engineering teams.
  • Strong analytical and experimentation skills, including SEO measurement and CRO.
  • Experience running performance marketing directly or working closely with performance marketing teams.
  • Vancouver-based or willing to relocate. Hybrid role, three days per week in the office.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in SaaS, creator economy, marketplaces, or consumer technology.
  • Experience with two-sided marketplaces or high-volume self-serve products.
  • Experience with GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Looker Studio, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Python, JavaScript, or AI-powered SEO automation.

Benefits

  • Location: Hybrid, Vancouver BC (3 days per week in office)
  • Base Salary: $110,000 to $140,000 CAD
  • PTO: 2 weeks paid vacation + holidays
  • Paid Sick Leave
