Job description

Description:

PlayMetrics is a fast growing B2B SaaS company revolutionizing the way youth sports organizations operate. Our industry-leading platform is trusted by thousands of clubs, leagues, and governing bodies to manage operations, communication, scheduling, and player development, all in one place.

PlayMetrics is looking for a Director, Integrated Marketing to build and run the execution engine behind our Growth Marketing team. This role turns sport-specific campaign strategy into work that ships on time and on standard, while keeping our always-on programs — SEO, website conversion, email nurture — growing steadily in parallel. You'll work closely with our Growth Strategy Directors, who each own the strategy, pipeline targets, and Sales relationships for a specific sport cluster.

Note: This is a full-time position, and we are ideally looking for a local candidate to work in the office at our Morrisville, NC headquarters, currently hybrid work-from-home three days per week, but subject to the Company's needs and policies in the future. Open to remote, US-based candidates preferably in Eastern or Central Time Zones.

The Role

As our Director, Integrated Marketing, you'll report to the VP of Growth and partner closely with our Growth Strategy Directors, who own sport-specific market strategy and Sales relationships.

You'll own turning their briefs into executed, measured campaigns, and you'll own the always-on, evergreen programs that keep generating awareness and pipeline between campaigns. To start, you'll lead a small team (2-3 direct reports), with planned headcount additions as volume scales, and be a trusted voice in quarterly planning, bringing a clear, capacity-grounded view of what the team can deliver.

One day you might be:

  • Refining a campaign brief with a Growth Strategy Director to sharpen the audience and offer before work kicks off.
  • Walking the VP of Growth through how the SEO roadmap and two simultaneous campaign launches are all on track.
  • Updating the quarterly campaign calendar as priorities shift, keeping the team focused on what matters most.
  • Coaching your team through a search or conversion opportunity you spotted together.
  • Negotiating scope with a paid media agency to scale our media buying efforts.
What You'll Do

Quarterly Planning & Capacity Strategy

  • Partner with the Growth Strategy Directors from the start of quarterly planning, bringing an honest, capacity-grounded view of what the team can execute.
  • Surface capacity considerations early in planning so the quarter's priorities are realistic and well-sequenced.
  • Champion the always-on lane (SEO/AEO, website conversion, email nurture) as a core part of the plan alongside campaign work.
  • Evaluate and help scope new or emerging channels (e.g., CTV/OTT, out of home, podcast and audio advertising) during quarterly planning, recommending whether and how they get piloted.

Campaign Execution Standards & Queue Management

  • Own the campaign brief format, required fields, and quality bar, partnering with Directors to get briefs launch-ready.
  • Set and hold the execution timeline once a brief is accepted; manage the campaign queue across both Growth Strategy Directors' portfolios.
  • Lead campaign kickoff planning, asset assembly, build, and launch across paid social, paid search, display/programmatic, email, content, and events.
  • Monitor and optimize campaigns during active windows.

Always-On Program Ownership

  • Own SEO and AEO strategy: ongoing optimization, content gap analysis, and search presence — evergreen work independent of sport or season.
  • Own website conversion programs — forms, landing pages, CTAs — and the email nurture flows that catch non-converting leads from campaigns.
  • Build and maintain the emails, landing pages, and campaign assets that live inside HubSpot, and bring the requirements and strategy for how those programs should work.

Performance Reporting & Infrastructure

  • Deliver regular channel performance reporting to the VP of Growth and the Growth Strategy Directors, keeping everyone aligned on what's live and how it's performing.
  • Document and share post-campaign retros so learnings travel across the team and inform the next quarter's plan.
  • Build the process: brief templates, campaign calendar format, and retro structure.

Team Leadership & Vendor Management

  • Directly manage a team running the campaign and always-on lanes, coaching them to own their lane while supporting each other at capacity.
  • Own paid media agency relationships and outside freelance or contract creative resources used for overflow capacity, managed within the Growth budget set by the VP of Growth.
Who You'll Partner With
  • Growth Strategy Directors — your closest day-to-day partners. They bring the sport-specific strategy, pipeline targets, and briefs; you turn those into executed, measured campaigns.
  • Brand & Comms — owns brand identity and organic social, distinct from the paid social you'll own. Their GTM Studio team is your primary internal resource for campaign asset development, supplemented by freelance or agency creative for overflow or specialized needs.
  • RevOps/MarOps — owns HubSpot workflow architecture, list hygiene, and attribution infrastructure. You bring the requirements and strategy for the programs your team runs and builds inside the platform.
Requirements:What You Bring
  • 7-10+ years in marketing execution or campaign operations, including experience running campaigns end-to-end — from brief through launch to report.
  • People management experience to lead and scale a team running two complementary operating rhythms at once.
  • Experience managing paid media execution (paid social, paid search, display/programmatic) through a team or agency partners, with enough platform fluency to direct strategy, evaluate performance, and hold vendors accountable.
  • HubSpot-fluent: comfortable building emails, landing pages, and campaigns directly in the platform, and diagnosing day-to-day issues.
  • SEO/AEO literate — doesn't need to be a technical SEO expert, but understands how search is changing and can lead a specialist or an agency effectively.
  • A confident, collaborative communicator — comfortable shaping a brief with a Director or giving the VP of Growth a clear, data-backed read on capacity.
  • A process builder who creates structure (brief templates, calendars, retros) rather than waiting for it to exist.
  • B2B SaaS marketing experience preferred, ideally in a growth-focused environment.
  • A natural cross-functional partner — comfortable working alongside Directors with strong Sales relationships and coordinating with adjacent teams like Brand & Comms and RevOps to get work done.

Qualified Applicants:

  • Will be at least 18 years of age
  • Will have a minimum of bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field
  • Can read, write, and fluently speak and understand English
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Are confident using technology and navigating technology applications
  • Will be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer in the US.
  • We cannot consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly remain in a stationary position, including sitting and standing, throughout the workday.
  • Occasionally move throughout the work environment to perform essential job functions.
  • Regularly use hands and fingers to handle, operate, manipulate, and feel objects, tools, controls, and equipment.
  • Regularly communicate and exchange information with coworkers, customers, and others in a manner that supports the effective performance of the position.
  • Regularly observe and assess information using visual acuity, including close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, as necessary to perform essential job duties.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.

PlayMetrics will provide:

  • Competitive pay
  • Competitive benefits, including comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans for you and your dependents which are 100% company paid, 401(k) with employer match, and company paid group and disability insurance
  • Paid Time Off
  • Casual dress work environment
  • Central office location in RTP
