Summary

Shape the future of digital commerce and AI-powered product discovery. As an Agentic Commerce Optimization and Generative Engine Optimization Marketing Specialist, you will drive the execution and continuous improvement of strategies that enhance how consumers discover, engage with, and purchase our products across owned and retailer digital ecosystems. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to optimize product content, structured data, and digital shelf performance for emerging AI-driven search platforms, conversational commerce experiences, and retailer algorithms. This role is ideal for a strategic, data-driven digital professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about leveraging innovation to improve discoverability, conversion, and overall digital commerce performance while supporting the Company’s mission, values, and quality standards.

The salary range for this position is $68,000 - $102,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to optimize product discoverability and conversion within AI-powered shopping assistants, conversational commerce interfaces, retailer recommendation engines, and emerging agentic commerce ecosystems.
  • Ensure product data, attributes, and content structures align with evolving retailer and AI platform requirements to maximize visibility and conversion opportunities.
  • Optimize product and brand content for generative AI search experiences, including conversational search engines, large language model (LLM) interfaces, AI shopping assistants, and answer engines.
  • Develop answer-focused content, semantic keyword strategies, structured content enhancements, FAQ optimization, metadata improvements, and AI-readable product storytelling to improve visibility and relevance in generative search environments.
  • Collaborate with the broader Digital Team to maintain accurate, complete, and optimized product content across retailer and owned digital channels.
  • Manage structured product data, knowledge graphs, taxonomy alignment, metadata, schema readiness, and enhanced content to improve AI ingestion, retailer compliance, and search discoverability.
  • Support workflow management through Salsify, Syndigo, and other PIM/DAM systems.
  • Monitor and analyze ACO/GEO performance metrics, including retailer search rankings, generative search visibility, product discoverability, conversion metrics, share-of-search, content health scores, and AI citation presence.
  • Maintain reporting dashboards to identify optimization opportunities and improve digital commerce performance.
  • Partner with the Digital Marketing Team to ensure product content adheres to retailer-specific algorithm requirements and evolving AI commerce standards.
  • Support optimization efforts across major retailer ecosystems, including Walmart, Amazon, Kroger, Target, Instacart, and emerging commerce platforms, to improve digital shelf effectiveness and shopper engagement.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing.
  • 0–3 years of work experience.
  • Digital marketing experience.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Demonstrate aptitude for critical reasoning and problem solving.
  • Demonstrate project management and organizational skills.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience with retailer content optimization, retail media strategy, SEO/GEO best practices, AI-powered search platforms, analytics and reporting tools, and emerging commerce technologies.
  • Familiarity with structured data/schema markup, conversational commerce, and generative AI ecosystems.

 

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

  • Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
  • May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
  • May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
  • Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
