Job description

Summary
ID Sculpture is seeking Production Assistants to support our creative and fabrication teams in producing custom climbing boulders, playground sculptures, and public art installations. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic, hands-on work environment that blends art, fabrication, and outdoor play.
We offer year-round indoor and outdoor work in a creative fabrication setting, with opportunities for travel and advancement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Sculpt and shape over rebar and lath substructures to create detailed and artistic play sculptures according to project specifications and designs.
  2. Collaborate with designers, engineers, and other team members to ensure the artistic vision and structural integrity of the sculptures.
  3. Utilize various sculpting tools and techniques to achieve desired textures, shapes, and finishes.
  4. Inspect and refine sculpted surfaces to ensure quality and adherence to project requirements.
  5. Assist in the preparation and setup of materials, including rebar, lath, and GFRC mixtures.
  6. Assist in other general labor tasks as needed to support facility operations.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored and maintained.
  8. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  9. Participate in team meetings and contribute to creative brainstorming sessions.
  10. Maintain accurate records of sculpting activities, including time, materials used, and project progress.
  11. Provide input and feedback on sculpting techniques and improvements to enhance the quality and efficiency of the sculpting process.
  12. Participate in creating molds for concrete products.
  13. Promotes the Company's mission and values-based culture through providing an excellent quality product
  14. Manages all decks going to outside storage
  15. Safety: Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations by all employees
  16. Quality: Assure all decks are checked and identified properly
  17. Productivity: Maintain utilization specified by supervisor and/or lead
  18. Coordinates: Communicate with other operators on any issues or shortages to supervisor or lead
  19. Team player and willing to work closely with others
  20. Dexterity: Employee would work with their hands, and need to be able to lift or hold heavy items
  21. Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
