Location: Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base (AFB), Montgomery, AL

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Onsite

Clearance Requirement: Active DoD Secret Clearance Required

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and collaborative Scrum Master to support a Department of Defense (DoD) program located onsite at Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama. The Scrum Master will work closely with Agile teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders to facilitate Scrum processes, promote Agile best practices, and help drive successful project delivery. The ideal candidate has experience supporting Agile software development teams, strong communication skills, and a passion for fostering team collaboration and continuous improvement within a mission-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement sessions.
  • Support Agile teams in delivering high-quality solutions while adhering to Scrum principles and best practices.
  • Help identify and remove impediments that impact team productivity and sprint objectives.
  • Partner with Product Owners to ensure user stories and backlog items are well-defined and prioritized.
  • Track sprint progress and team performance using Agile tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps.
  • Foster an environment of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support communication between development teams, stakeholders, and program leadership.
  • Assist with reporting Agile metrics, project status, risks, and dependencies.
  • Encourage adoption of Agile methodologies and facilitate process improvements.
  • Ensure alignment with program goals, contractual requirements, and DoD standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance required.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to work onsite at Maxwell-Gunter AFB in Montgomery, AL.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience working as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, Project Coordinator, or similar Agile delivery role.
  • Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and supporting software development teams.
  • Working knowledge of Scrum, Agile methodologies, and Lean principles.
  • Experience using Agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
