Our client is seeking a highly experienced Scrum Master III to support two Agile teams within the Mortgage Originations and Mortgage Servicing organization at a leading banking enterprise. This is a senior-level Scrum Master role requiring deep Agile expertise, strong coaching and transformation leadership, and advanced facilitation skills.
This individual will play a critical role in driving Agile maturity across two teams that are early in their Agile adoption journey (approximately 10-11 months into Agile transformation). These teams have legacy working habits and require a strong coach who can guide behavioral change, build trust, and help them fully realize the value of Agile ways of working.
The ideal candidate is a servant leader, change agent, and Agile coach who can balance process discipline with emotional intelligence, communication, and influence.
Responsibilities

  • Serve as Scrum Master for two Agile teams supporting Mortgage Originations and Servicing
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including:
    • Daily stand-ups
    • Sprint planning
    • Backlog refinement
    • Sprint reviews
    • Retrospectives
  • Coach teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on Agile principles and Scrum practices
  • Drive Agile maturity growth across teams with low-to-moderate Agile adoption
  • Develop and execute a roadmap for team Agile transformation and improvement
  • Identify, escalate, and remove impediments impacting team delivery
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency
  • Promote continuous improvement, accountability, collaboration, and predictability
  • Communicate Agile progress, maturity, and delivery health to leadership
  • Translate Agile practices into meaningful business and team value
  • Support cultural transformation from legacy delivery models to Agile frameworks
Required Skills:
  • 4-7+ years of Scrum Master or Agile coaching experience (senior-level / Scrum Master III expectation)
  • Strong experience coaching teams with low Agile maturity or in transformation environments
