Welcome to Love's: The IT Scrum Master II is responsible for facilitating Agile practices and supporting multiple technology delivery teams in the successful execution of enterprise solutions that align with Love’s business and digital strategy. This role serves as a servant leader, coach, and delivery partner by guiding Scrum ceremonies, supporting backlog readiness, removing impediments, improving team collaboration, and promoting predictable sprint execution. 

Job Functions: 

  • Serve as Scrum Master for multiple enterprise application development teams and cross-functional product squads. 

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and feature planning. 

  • Guide teams in applying Scrum framework principles, Agile practices, and Love’s enterprise delivery standards. 

  • Identify, remove, and escalate impediments that impact team productivity, sprint commitments, or delivery timelines. 

  • Help protect sprint focus by managing scope changes, unplanned work, and competing priorities in partnership with Product Owners and delivery leaders.

  • Coach team members and Product Owners on Agile principles, Scrum roles and responsibilities, and self-organization practices

  • Actively grow Agile maturity across assigned teams; track progress and recommend targeted improvement actions

  • Foster healthy team dynamics, psychological safety, and a culture of accountability and continuous learning

  • Mentor junior team members and new Scrum practitioners on ceremonies, artifacts, and Agile mindset 

  • Partner with Product Owners and business stakeholders to ensure product backlogs are prioritized, organized, and supported by clear user stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Support the translation of business objectives into epics, features, user stories, and sprint-ready work aligned to enterprise SDLC standards.

  • Track, analyze, and report Agile delivery metrics, including velocity, sprint burndown, cumulative flow, cycle time, throughput, and team capacity.

  • Support sprint planning and team capacity management to promote realistic commitments and predictable delivery outcomes.

  • Monitor cross-team dependencies, delivery risks, and blockers; surface issues early and help drive resolution.

  • Prepare and deliver sprint status updates, delivery summaries, and performance reporting using Agile delivery tools and Microsoft O365 applications.

  • Maintain visible, accurate team boards and delivery dashboards to provide stakeholders with transparency into progress, dependencies, and risks.

  • Coordinate with Product Owners, delivery leaders, and business stakeholders to support alignment on priorities, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Contribute to Agile standards, center-of-excellence efforts, and continuous improvement practices across the IT organization.

  • Use AI-enabled tools to improve backlog analysis, sprint planning, delivery forecasting, risk identification, and team reporting.

  • Apply AI-assisted capabilities within Agile platforms such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Microsoft Copilot, or comparable tools to identify trends, summarize delivery information, and support data-informed decision-making.

  • Leverage AI insights to evaluate delivery metrics, including velocity trends, cycle time, lead time, defect trends, and team capacity.

  • Use AI-supported retrospective analysis to identify recurring issues, improvement themes, and root causes impacting team performance.

  • Apply AI writing and summarization tools to support sprint summaries, stakeholder updates, user story drafts, acceptance criteria, and related delivery documentation.

  • Evaluate emerging AI capabilities in Agile delivery, project management, and software development practices; recommend adoption where measurable value can be demonstrated.

  • Model responsible and effective use of AI tools in alignment with enterprise standards, data protection expectations, and approved technology practices.

  • Stay current on AI advancements that may improve Agile delivery, team performance, and software development execution.

Experience and Qualifications:  

  • 3–5 years of Information Technology project support experience within enterprise application development environments 

  • 2+ years of direct experience as a Scrum Master for fast-paced Agile teams; supporting multiple teams simultaneously strongly preferred 

  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience using AI tools in a professional Agile or project management context — required 

  • Experience coordinating cross-functional projects in support of larger digital business strategy and objectives 

  • Familiarity with enterprise SDLC methodologies and software development project governance 

  • Experience with CRM or field-operations platforms (Salesforce, ServiceNow, or similar) is a plus 

  • Technical knowledge and domain expertise required to perform the role effectively: 

  • Agile methodology and Scrum framework — deep, practitioner-level knowledge of ceremonies, artifacts, and roles 

  • Azure DevOps — boards, backlogs, sprint planning, queries, and delivery reporting 

  • Agile metrics — velocity, sprint burndown, cumulative flow diagrams, cycle time, and throughput analysis 
 
  • AI-powered Agile and PM tools — hands-on proficiency required (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Azure AI, Microsoft Copilot, Atlassian Intelligence, Jira AI, or comparable platforms) 

  • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) — working knowledge of development, QA, and release management processes 
 
  • SAFe or other scaled Agile frameworks — familiarity preferred 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, MIS, Business Administration, or a related technology field (preferred) 
 
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) — required or must obtain within 6 months of hire 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) — preferred 

  • SAFe Agilist (SA) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) — a plus 

  • AI literacy certification or coursework (e.g., Microsoft AI-900, Google AI Essentials, or equivalent) — a plus
