Job Description:

  • checking supplies and equipment needed for a procedure;
  • scrubs, gowns and gloves self, surgeon and assistants;
  • performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operating and before the incision is closed;
  • assists in draping the sterile field;
  • passes instruments to the surgeon during the procedure;
  • maintains the highest standard of sterile technique;
  • assists with terminal cleaning of room;
  • leans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization
  • assist in prepping the surgical suite for the next patient
