Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Scrub Technician to join our surgical team. The Scrub Tech plays a crucial role in assisting surgeons, nurses, and other medical professionals during surgical procedures. This position is responsible for preparing the operating room, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent teamwork skills, and a commitment to patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and set up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies before procedures.
  • Assist surgeons and surgical teams by passing instruments and supplies during surgery.
  • Maintain a sterile environment by following infection control and aseptic techniques.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Count surgical instruments and supplies before and after procedures to ensure nothing is left inside the patient.
  • Properly clean, sterilize, and restock surgical instruments and equipment after each use.
  • Handle specimens collected during surgery and ensure they are properly labeled and transported.
  • Collaborate with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other surgical staff to optimize patient care.
  • Follow all hospital and surgical protocols, including safety and compliance regulations.

Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist or Scrub Technician program.
  • Certification (e.g., Certified Surgical Technologist - CST)
  • Previous experience in a surgical or operating room setting is a plus.
