Job description

Medical Scribe/Medical Assistant position ideal for preprofessional students. Reproductive Specialty Center (RSC) is an advanced gynecology and infertility practice located on the east side of Milwaukee. RSC has an exciting position available for a bright, energetic, and dedicated Medical Assistant/Scribe. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, quality conscious, healthcare professional with the ability to work in an environment where positive patient interaction is vital to our success. On the job training and certification will be provided by staff with many years of experience in assisted reproductive technology. This is a unique opportunity to enter an exciting field with a high degree of personal satisfaction and patient contact. EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY FOR GAP YEAR CLINICAL EXPERIENCE BEFORE POSTGRADUATE EDUCATION.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Interview patients to obtain medical history

  • Take and record vital signs

  • Assist with physical examinations

  • Call in prescriptions per physician order

  • Complete prior authorizations for medications and procedures

  • Provide patient education, communicate with and assist patients with scheduling of diagnostic tests, outpatient services, and hospital admissions

  • Stock supplies and maintain equipment
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and practice information and follow HIPAA regulations
  • Answering multi-line phone system
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Participate in research activity

    • Semen analysis
    • Semen cryopreservation and thawing
