Job description

DOMO Engineering Plastics US, LLC is looking to immediately hire Extrusion Line Operators for our PM/AM (7pm - 7am/7am - 7pm) shift.

*Continental schedule: rotates Sun/Wed/Thurs then Mon/Tues/Fri/Sat.*

The Line Operator ensures the successful production of finished materials by following all safety policies and protocols, running the machines and equipment at optimum performance levels, and performing minor maintenance tasks - promoting worksite safety, product quality, and operations efficiency.

Major/Key Accountabilities:

ยท Understands and adheres to all DOMO Company policies and procedures.

ยท Understands and adheres to all DOMO safety policies and procedures to prevent injury to self and others.

ยท Ensures safe working practices are followed and all accidents, hazards, near misses, and property damage are reported immediately and required paperwork is completed (self and colleagues).

ยท Ensures the production floor and all common areas are prepared and clean for the next shift (sweeping, cleaning, wipe-downs, garbage, etc).

ยท Acquires the skills and knowledge to produce product of which quality targets are achieved and errors are uncommon.

ยท Produces finished goods that meet or exceed customersโ€™ requirements and specifications, at optimum cycle times for efficiency.

ยท Documents all production counts, including rejects, regrinds, scrap material and good product.

ยท Ensures completion of all paperwork associated with production passport forms, including capture of process deviations when process changes occur.

ยท Acquires the skills and knowledge to efficiently operate, troubleshoot, and perform minor maintenance of the manufacturing equipment of DOMO.

ยท Acquires the skills and knowledge to Start up and monitor machines: MMI (Man-Machine Interface), CM (Calculation of Maximum Output), stranding, pelletizing, classifying, and pack-out.

ยท Acquires the skills and knowledge to keep machines running efficiently through material replenishments and other support equipment, set rate for feeders, cleaning feeders, super sack operations, vacuum pots, etc.

ยท Acquires the skills and knowledge to properly Shut down machines.

ยท Acquires the skills and knowledge to perform product changeovers as called for by shop floor documents and verbal instructions.

ยท Demonstrates sense of urgency in owning line performance, offering assistance to others, and being responsive to changes in customer orders.

ยท Understands and adheres to Time & Attendance Policy, reporting to work punctually, minimal unplanned/unscheduled absences and early departures, and reporting for mandatory overtime as needed.

ยท Communicates effectively with all employees and promotes team environment.

Education

ยท Required: High School or Equivalent

ยท Preferred: 2 Year Technical School or College Certification

Experience

ยท Required: 2 years in manufacturing environment

ยท Preferred: Plastics extrusion/molding experience.

Skills Needed

ยท Must be prepared to workmandatory weekend overtime when required.

ยท Ability to understand basic math.

ยท Ability to work in a team environment.

ยท Must be familiar with machine operations.

ยท Must be able to read and write English (Spanish is a plus).
