Northrop Grumman is seeking a Corporate Strategy Analyst within the Corporate Strategy & Technology Organization. Reporting to the Director of Technology Partnerships and External Innovation, this position will be located at Northrop Grumman's Corporate headquarters in Falls Church, VA.

The selected candidate will support the development of portfolio-shaping strategies that optimize the company's positioning for long-term value creation. To that end, the analyst will:

Support the development and execution of strategic partnerships:

This may entail helping identify and analyze opportunities with potential partners and preparing detailed reports and presentations. The candidate would assist in coordinating with internal teams to align partnership goals with company objectives, and supporting ongoing relationships both internal and external. Additionally, the candidate may be responsible for tracking partnership performance metrics and providing insights to assist executive decision making.

Coordinate the Corporate Office's technology scouting initiatives:

The candidate will be responsible for managing enterprise-wide tech scouting & startup engagement programming, including a monthly pitch event series. The candidate will coordinate relationships with internal innovation stakeholders across Northrop Grumman's business units as well as the external innovation ecosystem (including but not limited to venture capital firms and startup incubators/accelerators). The candidate may attend various defense technology industry conferences as a technology scout for Northrop Grumman.

Support ad hoc analysis and special projects:

Respond to or support executive sponsored special projects with dynamic requirements; succinctly and accurately present findings to leadership via development of executive-level presentations (e.g., on competitors, industry trends, inorganic opportunities, etc.).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with 3 years of experience.

  • Proven ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize business and financial insights from multiple sources.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

  • Experience in technology scouting, venture capital, financial analysis, and/or strategy development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or other relevant graduate degree, or a technical degree coupled with relevant business education or relevant work experience.

  • Specific experience in the aerospace and/or defense industry.

  • Previous Corporate Development, Venture Capital, or Startup Accelerator experience.

  • Strong analytical, statistical, and critical thinking skills paired with the ability to visualize in a meaningful manner.

  • Dynamic self-starter with strong attention to detail, strong work ethic, ability to handle multiple priorities, and the ability to function with minimal guidance.

  • Project Management experience.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.

  • The ability to communicate effectively with senior levels of management.

Primary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
