Job Title:Production Supervisor
FLSA: Salary/Exempt
Reports to :Production Mgr. / Sr. Director of Mfg. /Exec. Mgt. Team
Department: Production
JOB STATEMENT:
Supervisees team leaders/team members in a manufacturing and assembly environment; plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. Other duties may be assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Ensures effective team member relations. Provides team members coaching and development. Resolves team members' issues through problem resolutions
• Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Works to continuously improve all areas
• Manages departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to manager
• Participant in quality control programs to assure product quality
• Ensures adherence to procedures, including GML requirements and Sconza Employee Handbook
• Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment
• Ensures efficiencies are met or exceeded according to standards in relation to aspect affecting production schedules
• Confers with production manager and other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments
• Assists in internal audits to ensure compliance with FDA, OSHA, and AIB methods, policies and procedures
• Food safety is the responsibility of each employee which enables Sconza Candy Company to manufacture and distribute a safe, wholesome, and high quality product
• Understand and comply with all HACCP and CGMP requirements and processes
• Understand and comply with RSPO and organic programs
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Associate's degree (A.A) or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of four years' experience with candy, food or confections products
• Must have experience in facility operation, planning and budgeting in quality, high speed production environment
• Requires excellent oral, written, and communication skills.
• Requires operation knowledge of computer software (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, Adonix, etc.)
• Ability to be flexible (shifts, days, and hours)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Prolonged standing
• May lift up to 50 lbs.
• Occasional sitting
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Exposed to wet and/or humid conditions when on production floor
• Temperature change as work area directs
• All employees must be trained and familiar with Sconza Company's Injury and Illness Prevention Program
• Report any accidents and any unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately
• Personal Protective Equipment Required: hairnet/ beard net, ear protection and proper footwear when in production facility
