DIRECT HIRE | REGISTERED ARCHITECT | Phoenix, AZ

Our client, a leader in innovative building solutions, seeks a talented Registered Architect to join their growing team in Phoenix, AZ. This role offers a chance to collaborate with engineers, production specialists, and clients to design practical, code-compliant, and creative building solutions.

  • Salary: $110,000 - $150,000/year, based on experience

  • Lead a team of 3-6 in-house Designers
  • Seeking a Registered Architect (Arizona)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design architectural plans for buildings suited to a variety of applications (e.g., commercial, institutional, healthcare, multifamily), ensuring functionality and visual appeal.
  • Review, mark-up, calculate, and stamp construction documents, confirming compliance with local, state, and national building codes, zoning laws, and safety standards. This includes floor plans, elevations, and MEP components.
  • Collaborate with clients and end-users to understand their needs and deliver tailored, feasible solutions that consider material durability, cost-effectiveness, and ease of construction.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, estimating, and production, to integrate designs seamlessly into project workflows.
  • Offer creative alternatives for cost savings and mentor colleagues on building code insights and construction best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, outside vendors, third party agencies and subcontractors
  • Maintain detailed project documentation and handle additional duties with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and an active Registered Architect license (Arizona required; willingness to pursue licensure in additional states is a plus).
  • NCARB certificate with portfolio of completed projects
  • Demonstrated experience in building design, including life safety egress plans, calculations, and basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software, including AutoCAD (3D), Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Adobe InDesign, Excel, and familiarity with tools like Enercalc or ComCheck.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (fluent English required; Spanish proficiency is a bonus) and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Preferred: Experience with wood, steel, or hybrid construction methods (with integrated steel chassis), and/or prior work on military projects (e.g., SCIF or security clearance-related).
