Job description

Kadiak,LLC,a Koniag Government Services company, is looking for highly qualified, Cleared, experienced, and self-motivated individuals to perform the duties of an Access Control Specialist (ACS) with a TS/SCI security clearance and intimate knowledge of visitor procedures. The ACS will support Kadiak and our government customer at Fort Huachuca, AZ.
These positions require a Top Secret/SCI. Please do not apply if you do not possess that level.
Primary Duty Location: Kelly Ops/Friedman Hall/Rowe Hall: Monday - Friday 0600-1800 on rotation (Shift start and end can vary slightly due to mission needs)

Access Control Specialists (ACS) must be flexible and willing to alternate his or her schedule in order to staff any of the escort desks during the designated working hours. The Contractors may be required to shift their schedule or report to an alternate location without significant advance notice. Demonstrating cooperation and flexibility when directed to staff an alternate escort desk during any of the identified work hours is necessary.
The Access Control Specialist will:

  • Guard designated entry points during operational hours.
  • Conduct clearance verifications as requested using approved Government Designated Systems.
  • Ensure all personnel entering the SCIF and open storage areas have the required security clearance eligibility level, and the required SCI access if required, or are properly escorted during assigned duty hours.
  • Shall issue badges and IDs in accordance with policy and utilize the badge system as directed.
  • Responsible for monitoring CCTV video.
  • Maintain an accurate log of all individuals entering and leaving the SCIFs.
  • Assist the Government in maintaining access to all SCIF and Open storage entrances, including fenced areas when required by the SCIF Special Security Representative (SSR).
  • Personnel shall assist with escort duties as needed for visitors, construction, maintenance, and janitorial personnel in all secured areas.
  • Maintain control over all items, documents, Information Technology and training equipment and software entering or leaving the SCIF, ensuring that only allowable items are brought in or taken out of the SCIF and ensure proper documentation is submitted during assigned duty hours.
  • Notify Installation Provost Marshall and/SSR when unauthorized persons attempt to enter the SCIF by force.
  • Attend operational meetings and provide security input as required.
  • Open and close SCIF. Activate and deactivate alarms. Notify MP to ensure Alarms are activated or deactivated during assigned duty hours.
  • Immediately alert occupants of any type of evacuation. Qualifying events include natural, or manmade events which would place property and persons in danger while occupying the SCIF or Open Storage Facility.
  • Log all activities on DA Form 1594 on a daily basis.
  • Receive guidance and instruction regarding security issues and requirements from the SCIF SSR or CSSO.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Minimum education required is a high-school diploma or GED and three (3) years security experience in relevant fields, such as industrial security, physical security and computer/network security.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly; must be able to provide security briefings and debriefings; must be able to provide comprehensive written communications.
  • Must perform all duties in an extremely professional, customer-service oriented manner.
Clearance Requirement:
  • Must possess final Top-Secret personnel security clearances and must be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) special access.
