Job Description

AECOM is seeking a motivated Data Entry Operator. This position will be located on site.

The data entry operator is responsible for performing data entry work using appropriate software. The Data Entry Operator works from various standardized source documents that have been coded and require little or no selecting, coding, or interpreting of data. Problems such as erroneous items and codes, or missing information are resolved by a government employee. Work is routine and repetitive.

The responsibilities of the Data Entry Operator includes:

  • May review the work of entry- and mid-level clerks.

  • Performs clerical duties and office functions including some of or all of the following: proofs and records data from various sources, makes photocopies, sends and receives faxes, answers basic to complex inquiries, delivers messages, sorts and delivers mail, meters mail, types documents, orders office supplies, and works with office forms and procedures.

  • Works cooperatively with others, displaying good verbal and written communication and organizational skills.

  • Uses Word, Excel and Outlook. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Due to the nature of the project US citizenship or permanent residency (including at least 3 years of continuous residency in the US) is required.

  • In order to receive a security badge at the client worksite to enable access to secure portions of the facility for which you are being hired to perform services, you may be required to pass the client's security screening process, which will include, but may not be limited to, Department of Defense background check and fingerprinting. Should this be required it will be done after you have commenced employment, and your participation in that process and a pass rating by the client are both conditions of your continued employment by AECOM.

  • Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check.

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three years of Data Entry experience

  • Position requires often keyboard/mouse operations; occasionally standing/walking; rarely working with arms above shoulder level, repetitive bending/stooping, climbing stairs, repetitive or fine hand movements, and lifting 50 pounds or less.

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word)
