Job Description

Eurofins Genomics is looking for a DNA Purification Technician I/II to join our oligonucleotide manufacturing team in Louisville, KY, which operates around the clock. You'll be assigned to one shift as your regular, ongoing schedule - no rotating shifts. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting purification and post-purification workflows.

This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and eager to develop technical laboratory skills. We're looking for someone who is organized, self-directed, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced production environment, while also being a great team player. Duties and responsibilities may evolve based on business needs and manager discretion; any additional tasks may be assigned as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct post-synthesis processing, including cleavage, deprotection, drying, and formulation of oligonucleotide products.
  • Perform oligonucleotide purification processes including HPLC purification, PAGE, desalting, and other purification techniques.
  • Adhere to purification and post-purification processes according to approved work instructions.
  • Prepare buffers and laboratory solutions.
  • Complete batch records and production documentation accurately.
  • Use our proprietary LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) for daily work, order tracking, and documentation
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain laboratory instrumentation and production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot minor process and equipment issues and escalate concerns when necessary.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and 5S-compliant workspace.
  • Follow all safety and regulatory requirements, including proper PPE and hazardous materials handling
  • Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and dependable attendance
  • Complete required training programs, including annual RCRA awareness training
  • Take on additional duties and tasks as assigned based on business needs
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field; or equivalent directly related experience.
  • Ability to perform under pressure of a fast paced production environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed written procedures and accurately complete documentation.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift 35+ pounds and stand for extended periods.

Preferred:

  • Experience in an ISO-13485 or cGMP environment
  • Experience using LIMS or similar laboratory data system
  • Basic understanding of laboratory equipment and scientific principles.
  • Familiarity with HPLC, LC-MS, UV spectroscopy, or related analytical methods.
  • Experience with oligonucleotide synthesis, purification, or molecular biology techniques.
  • Experience handling hazardous chemicals
