Summary of Job Duties:
Volunteers play an important and intricate role on the UAMS campus by helping enrich patients' and their families' experiences while being treated at UAMS. Volunteers serve in a multitude of ways at UAMS, including direct patient support and indirect patient support.
Qualifications:
  • Extroverted, mature, positive, service oriented individuals with emphasis on compassion for patients and visitors
  • Physical ability to withstand periods of walking, standing, or pushing a wheelchair
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English; bilingual skills are helpful
  • Ability to take initiative and be flexible assuming different roles as needed
  • Can work independently
