AGRICULTURE SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Agriculture Sales Representatives act as the primary bridge connecting our organization with the growers we serve. Their role is essential to our achievements, as they work closely with customers to understand their agronomic needs and recommend effective, high-quality products that support stronger performance, greater productivity, and improved returns. Our sales professionals are responsible for identifying and cultivating new opportunities in Deerpoint Group’s foliar, continuous fertigation, grower applied blends, and water treatment products. Their work helps drive the company’s growth and extends our reach into additional markets.
Candidates must live in, or be willing to relocate to, the designated sales territory.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development amp; Sales Growth
  • Establish annual sales goals with management
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities through cold calls, networking, and research
  • Build and maintain an effective sales pipeline while providing accurate information to management
  • Provide growers with customized and innovative fertilizer and water-treatment solutions
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, prospects, and coworkers
  • Continuously learn and apply crop-specific farming practices
  • Support sales strategies in underdeveloped markets and regions
  • Attend and promote products at trade shows and conferences
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Uphold high ethical and professional standards in all interactions
  • Collaborate with peers and management
  • Complete special assignments as needed
Education amp; Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, Business Management, or related field preferred
  • Three years of agronomy focused sales experience in California agriculture is required
  • Five or more years of agronomy focused sales experience in California agriculture is preferred
  • Certified Crop Advisor License is preferred
  • Working knowledge of fertilizer formulating is preferred
Skills amp; Competencies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Physical amp; Work Environment Requirements
