Lucix Corporation, a subsidiary of HEICO's Electronic Technologies Group has steadily evolved to become the world leader in RF Active and Passive Units, Subsystems, and Assemblies, for Commercial, Civil and Defense Satellite Payloads. Lucix also provides RF hardware for Airborne and Ground Systems. All hardware is designed, qualified, manufactured, tested, and shipped from Lucix facilities in California, USA.
We are seeking a Program Manager to join our team. In the role of Program Manager (PM), you are responsible for and have the authority to lead and manage Lucix space program(s) and the assigned program personnel. Lucix uses an integrated program team (IPT) process, where program personnel are assigned from functional departments (engineering, operations, quality, finance) to ensure a comprehensive and efficient program performance leveraging the entire team to achieve outstanding performance. The PM is empowered to lead the team to meet technical, cost and schedule program requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage program cost, schedule and technical performance according to budget and customer requirements
  • Manage the Integrated Product Team (IPT) via matrix management of Engineering, Operations, Quality and Finance resources for assigned programs
  • Responsible for customer engagement and communication during program execution
  • Develop program and risk plans over the program life cycle, from proposal through delivery
  • Develop overall program plans, identify the work-breakdown-structure (WBS) in coordination with Engineering and Operations, and develop requisite timelines
  • Develop program budget (labor, material and other direct costs (ODC)) in accordance with WBS, with inputs from functional organizations
  • Provide monthly Earned Value Management System (EVMS) updates, with inputs from functional departments, in coordination with program finance
  • Oversee implementation and communication, internally and externally, of Program Status
  • Provide Program Status including cost and schedule, hardware progress, contractual submittals, and action items
  • Ensure timely closure of all activities
  • Coordinate Design Activities with assigned Project Engineer and prepare and present the internal design/program reviews (Lucix uses a gated product development process) ensuring that customer requirements are being met, both technical and programmatic
  • Manage the preparation and presentation of customer Design Reviews (EQSR, PDR, CDR, MRR/TRR) and coordinate internal resources in preparation of all contractual deliverables and presentation packages
  • Responsible for working with Lucix management to determine program priorities within the factory
  • Conduct regular Executive Program reviews using established reporting tools
  • Support bids and proposals, in coordination with business development leadership, by generating management proposals, statements of compliance, and cost estimates

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or related field
  • Minimum of (3) years of experience in design, development and management of complex hardware including knowledge and understanding of Program Management, Operations, Engineering, Sales & Marketing
  • Experience in space market, either commercial GEO programs or defense space programs and the associated requirements are highly desirable
  • Ability to understand and evaluate technical and non-technical documents relating to all aspects of programs
  • Ability to plan, organize, communicate and direct the day-to-day activities of the Program
  • Technical expertise in microwave, RF and/or communications or electronic warfare subsystems or components is desired
  • Cognizant of AS9100 quality system procedures and documents
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical specifications as well as legal/contractual documents
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and report accurate schedule / cost status information in accordance with departmental procedures
  • Ability to use proper English spelling, grammar and legible office and business writing skills
  • Ability to speak well; effective interpersonal skills to interface with both technical and non-technical personnel; ability to effectively present information to executive management, department managers and customer technical and senior management
  • Well organized; ability to meet deadlines; self-starter; ability to manage multiple tasks.
