About the Role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular, Full-time Program Manager, Operational Analytics & Governanceย to join our dynamicย Operational Excellence team.ย  Theย Operational Excellence team is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by empowering our employees to improve their own processes, so that problems can be easily surfaced and solved for good.ย

The Program Manager leads the Advanced Analytics portfolio and data stewardship program, providing strategic and operational support across stakeholders. Key responsibilities include managing projects, developing strategy and roadmaps, establishing data governance for supply chain, and driving continuous improvement. The role ensures alignment between analytics initiatives and business goals, supports team coordination, and monitors emerging analytics trends to enhance organizational effectiveness.

Formula for Success
  • Leads end-to-end program and portfolio management for supply chain analytics and data stewardship, ensuring projects are planned, executed, monitored, and reported on effectively-aligning with strategic roadmaps, managing stakeholder relationships, overseeing governance processes and tools, tracking progress, and resolving escalations to meet timelines, scope, and business objectives.
  • Supports the development and execution of analytics and data stewardship strategy and roadmaps by coordinating planning activities, facilitating strategy sessions, tracking decisions and outcomes, and delivering consolidated reporting, scorecards, and insights aligned to corporate strategy and performance requirements.
  • Establishes and leads the supply chain data stewardship program by aligning with business and data strategies, building and guiding stewardship teams, defining and governing data standards, implementing quality and security controls, and driving continuous improvement in data management practices.
  • Leads and oversees analytics and data stewardship operational support, driving continuous improvement of processes, strengthening cross-functional collaboration, ensuring high-quality and efficient service delivery, and maintaining proper documentation and governance practices.
  • Manages indirect reports, systems, and projects to achieve program goals through coaching, workload balancing, and process optimization. By establishing clear performance standards and monitoring service quality, the position ensures operational consistency and continuous improvement in alignment with corporate policies.ย

Desired Education and Skillsย 
  • Post secondary level education in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution, preferably a University Degree in Engineering, Computer Science,ย Business Analyticsย or other technical discipline, or equivalent.
  • Specializations in data science and analytics, operations research, or supply chain management will be considered.
  • Professional certifications, course work and/or experience in the areas of strategy, project management, and/or riskย such as Project Mangement Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP).
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of related experience, preferably in a health care environment.
  • Excellent presentation and documentation skills; able to articulate complex concepts and information succinctly with ease and high impact.
  • Ability to work in a complex, adaptive learning environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines; continuously assess priorities and business requirements and balance between regular deliverables and priority unplanned requests.
  • Ability to communicate with staff and constituencies from multiple organizations, and to work in a collaborative, consultative, and positive manner.ย

What You Can Expect
  • This role will be based at a Canadian Blood Services location and expected to have an in-person presence for at least 40% of the time/2 days of the week.ย 
  • You will work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours a day. Additional hours may be required depending on project requirements.
  • Occassional travel may be required to attend meetings/workshops.
