We are searching for the best talent for a Scientific Communications Specialist to support our Electrophysiology business. This role will work onsite in our Irvine, CA office, 2-3 days per week.

The Scientific Communications Specialist will join the Clinical Science and External Research (CSER) team responsible for global evidence generation and dissemination of scientific findings from clinical trials and registries sponsored by Johnson & Johnson MedTech Electrophysiology.

This role bridges multiple functions within scientific affairs, and clinical communications functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and coordination support to clinical science communication activities
  • Maintain project management dashboards to track timelines, milestones, for deliverables, and action items for clinical science communication projects
  • Assist with formatting, editing, and polishing internal and external communication documents (slide decks, newsletters, emails). Apply basic principles of visual communication and document design to improve readability and presentation quality
  • Manage documentation version control, SharePoint file organization and archiving
  • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and document notes/action items for cross functional team meetings
  • Assist with copy approval submission by routing materials to stakeholders and tracking feedback and approvals
  • Coordinate with internal vendors or external partners
  • Ensure materials meet formatting, branding, and basic compliance standards prior to submission for distribution

Qualifications

Required:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Physical Science, Biological Science, Marketing or Communications
  • 0-2 years of experience in administrative support, communications, project coordination or related work
  • Effective time management, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills; experience interacting with external investigators preferred
  • Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team environment while having the skillset and confidence to work independently, as needed
  • Be reliable, and flexible in adapting to shifting business needs while contributing to a multidisciplinary and fast-paced working environment
  • Be a highly motivated, responsible, fast-learner, and team-oriented collaborator willing to take ownership of his/her contributions to the advancement of the collective CSER goals and objectives
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office especially in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred:

  • Medical device experience; cardiovascular experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with basic visual communication principles and document design

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$76,000.00 - $121,900.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation -120 hours per calendar year
Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado -48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington -56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays -13 days per calendar year
Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
Parental Leave - 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
Bereavement Leave - 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
Caregiver Leave - 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
Volunteer Leave - 32 hours per calendar year
