Location: Annandale, Virginia (serving all four PHILLIPS campuses - Annandale, Fairfax, Leesburg, Laurel)

We are recruiting a Program Director to provide leadership toย PHILLIPSย innovative career and technical education high school program:ย PHILLIPS ~ Career Partners.ย  Career Partners team members are subject matter expert instructors in a variety of career pathways,ย teaching students to build houses, design, and print 3D objects, grow fresh produce in an indoor hydroponic classroom and cook nutritious, delicious food.

What the Career Partner Program Director does:

The Program Director provides vision, leadership, and management consistent with PHILLIPS values and service orientation for an array of services addressing career and technical education and the development of new programs for youth and young adults. Additionally, the Program Director:

  • Lead and grow the Career Partners program across all PHILLIPS campuses, ensuring highquality career and technical education, apprenticeships, and transition services.
  • Secure and manage grants, including overseeing innovative models like the Britebound CareerConnected learning initiative.
  • Build strong career pathways by partnering with DARS/DORS and expanding apprenticeship and postsecondary opportunities for students.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive program culture and a cohesive, missionaligned team.
  • Strengthen family, community, and employer engagement to support strong career outcomes for youth and young adults.
  • Recruit, develop, and support talented staff who embody PHILLIPS values.
  • Maintain strong relationships with public agencies, licensing bodies, and community partners.
  • Oversee program budgets and ensure programs operate efficiently and sustainably.
  • Represent PHILLIPS in the community and contribute to organizationwide leadership efforts.
  • Continue building professional expertise and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

What the Career Partner Program Director brings to the team:

  • Masterโ€™s degree in Special Education, Transition Services, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in career & technical education and transition services.
  • 10+ years of experience working with children and youth with emotional/behavioral needs and their families.
  • Strong leadership, program management, and teambuilding skills.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and community engagement abilities.
