LDP Program Assistant
Status: Full Time/Exempt
Salary: $50,000-55,000; Commensurate with education, experience and certifications
About HOPE Farm
HOPE Farm Inc.'s ministry and mission are to serve boys without a father at home and their single moms or guardians. Hope Farm is an after-school leadership development program where we introduce our participants to a life governed by belief in Christ and provide an opportunity to be mentored by adult Christian men.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Program Assistant is responsible for the delivery and implementation of HOPE Farm Leadership Development programs. The HOPE Farm programs will be developed around four pillars: Bible Study, Social Development, Academic Enrichment, and Recreation.
JOB DUTIES:
Deliver, implement and supervise program/activities content for HOPE Farm participants in the following categories:
  1. Bible Study
  2. Stewardship
  3. Academic support
  4. Recreation
  5. Leadership Development
  6. Social Skills
  • Ensure that all program activities are staffed, conducted in a safe manner, and all HOPE Farm rules and procedures are followed
  • Facilitate and lead school year and summer engagement activities on and off campus for our boys in the program
  • Report any accidents and/or incidents to the Program Director or Assistant Program Director immediately and follow all established protocol for emergency response
  • Gather qualitative and quantitative data and KPI's of the program's success as needed for reporting, public presentations, newsletters, and fundraising opportunities
  • Meet regularly with Program Director and/or Assistant Program Director to review individual student progress
  • Meet with teachers, counselors, and principals on behavior or academic related issues for boys in program
  • Make school visits to encourage, empower and inspire boys in their academic environment
  • Consult with mothers and caregivers on behavior related issues
  • Accompany students on field trips (Some trips may be after hours or on weekends)
  • Perform school pick-ups or field trips as back up driver for after school pick up (As needed)
  • Represent HOPE Farm at community, fundraising, and special events functions on and off site (As needed)
  • All other duties or assignments to support the program as needed by Program Director

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality, respect privacy, build trust, and establish clear boundaries
  • Must pass agency background check to complete hiring compliance
  • Must be empathetic, non-judgmental, and culturally sensitive
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft 365 Desktop usage and AI supporting usage
  • Must comply with HOPE Farm policies & procedures
  • Must model behaviors consistent with HOPE Farm values

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree (Required). In education, psychology, sociology or related field
  • Experience in education, mentoring, or youth programs
  • Current CPR certification and basic first aid knowledge
  • Current Texas Driver's License, with a clean driving record. Must pass standards for coverage by company carrier
