School Operations Coordinator.

This role is designed for a motivated early childhood professional who is interested in growing into a future school.
At Joy of Learning Kids Academy (JOL Kids Academy), we believe childhood should be filled with joy, creativity, and meaningful connections. Inspired by Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and “Learning by Doing,” our eco-friendly preschool encourages children to explore, create, and grow through hands-on experiences in STEM, art, music, yoga, and nature.

We are looking for a passionate, energetic, organized and proactive School Operations Coordinator to join our growing JOL family in Lisle/Naperville. What You’ll Do:
  • School Operations & Leadership Support.
  • Support daily school operations to ensure smooth classroom flow and exceptional care.
  • Assist leadership with maintaining high-quality standards, safety procedures, and DCFS licensing compliance.
  • Help maintain classroom environments, materials, and playground safety.
  • Build strong relationships with families and provide excellent communication and support.

Classroom & Team Support:
  • Provide classroom support as needed to maintain ratios and quality programming.
  • Assist teachers with classroom management, curriculum implementation, and daily routines.
  • Support children through engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
  • Mentor, encourage, and support teaching staff in a positive team environment.

Curriculum & Enrichment Coordination:
  • Support implementation of JOL’s Montessori and Reggio-inspired curriculum.
  • Assist with enrichment programs including STEM, art, music, yoga, culinary activities, and language programs.
  • Help teachers create meaningful learning experiences based on children’s interests and observations.
  • Coordinate special events, projects, and family engagement activities.

Compliance & Safety:
  • Support school leadership in maintaining DCFS licensing standards and classroom ratios.
  • Help ensure all health, safety, and sanitation procedures are followed.
  • Respond calmly and professionally in fast-paced situations.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.
  • Strong understanding of classroom management and early childhood development.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Passion for working with children and families.
  • Ability to multitask and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Leadership experience in early childhood education preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in early childhood education or related field preferred.
  • Must meet all DCFS licensing requirements.
  • Completion of background check and fingerprinting required.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification required (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
