Position: Avionics Technician III-Hourly position, Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

Reports to: AvionicsSupervisor

Position Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Service and repair avionics systems and components. Must have experience on any of our core aircraft: Citation, Global, Challenger, Beechcraft, Textron, Gulfstream, Learjet, Dassault, Bombardier, Honda, and Pilatus.Troubleshoot and repair of avionics equipment to component level, including areas of: Com/Nav, ADF, Transponder, DME, Radar, audio systems, navigation instrumentation autopilot system components, radio altimeters, etc.
  • Enter write-ups of work performed in the computer or on the disc sheet after work is completed.
  • Stay current with changes in the technical area, as service letters are issued on avionics equipment and other informational items are furnished for new product etc.
  • Assist service and maintenance of avionics systems both on the bench and in the aircraft. Check avionics systems in aircraft after repairs.
  • Assist the avionics supervisor and crew leader with customer relations, closing of work orders and other administrative functions when needed.
  • Assist in maintaining avionics library, service bulletins, microfiche and any new technical information and the orderly operation of the service shop area.
  • Maintain current calibrations status and records for shop test equipment.
  • Perform duties as assigned by Crew Leader or Manager

Required Education and Experience:

  • Requires a minimum of a high school diploma
  • Airframe & Powerplant License a plus
  • Factory Certification of various types in avionics and repair plus a minimum of three years of previous related experience.
  • Experience on the following aircraft and items is key, citation X, Global Express and Challenger 300/350,Beechcraft Corporation 300, B-300, 700, 750, 800, 800XP, 850XP, and 900XPTextron Aviation, Inc. 525B, 525C, 550, S550, 551, 560 Series, and 650, 680 Series and 750 Series,Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation GIV, G450, GV, G550,Learjet Inc. 30 Series, 45, 55, and 60 Series,Dassault Aviation Falcon 50, 900, 2000 Series,Bombardier Challenger 300 Series, 601 Series, 604 and 605, 300 and 350 Series,Bombardier Global 5000 Bombardier Global 600,Honda Aircraft HA-420,Pilatus Aircraft Ltd PC-24 and PC-12
  • A valid driver's license is required
  • Pre-employmentdrug testis required
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of the Federal Aviation Regulations and ability to understand manufacturers manuals
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work in hot and noisy environment
