Eagle Ridge Academy is now accepting candidates for Full-time Licensed School Nurse.
  • Coordinates the implementation and review of school health services, policies, and procedures
  • Provides first aid for illnesses and injuries of students and staff. Communicates as needed, with parents regarding their child's health, injuries or any other health related items.
  • Distributes daily medication to students and contact parents for medication refills.
  • Creates system to house medications for easy access (epi pens, asthma medication) or ensuring security of medication as necessary.
  • Informs families of classroom and/or school wide health concerns.
  • Creates and trains a triage health office team for times when nurse is not available.
  • Provides medical support and consultation to teachers of students on IEPs
  • Participate on 504 Teams
  • Stocks health office with medical supplies.
  • Maintains classroom first aid kits. Maintains first aid kit with student's daily medications for field trips.
  • Keeps student immunization information up to date in the computer system and in separate health files. Assures all students are in compliance with state immunization requirements.
  • Maintains a daily log, (including the date, name, type of illness or injury and action taken), of student and staff office visits for illness or injury and a daily service record of medications (prescription and OTC) and pain relievers distributed to students
  • Ensures appropriate health information is retained for student records.
  • Assures the Academy is in compliance with mandated health service activities and reporting.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
