Job description

School Behavior Technician – 2026–2027 School YearAssigned to One School in Prince William County, VirginiaPosition Overview

We are seeking dedicated, patient, and student-focused School Behavior Technicians for the 2026–2027 school year in Prince William County, Virginia. Behavior Technicians will be assigned to one school close to their home and will support multiple students throughout the day. Ideal candidates have experience working with students with disabilities, strong de-escalation skills, and familiarity with behavior intervention strategies or ABA principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Behavior support for students with disabilities across classroom and school environments.

  • De-escalation assistance and crisis-prevention aligned with individualized behavior plans.

  • Reinforce skill-building in communication, emotional regulation, social skills, and daily routines.

  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and related service providers to promote positive behavior and student success.

  • Collect and track behavior data as directed by the school’s behavior team.

  • Maintain a calm, supportive, and professional presence during challenging situations.

  • Support safe transitions, structured routines, and proactive behavior strategies throughout the school day.
