Job description

Plymouth, MA – School-Based Behavior Technician / RBT

Amergis Educational Staffing is partnered with a school in Plymouth, MA seeking a Behavior Technician (BT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for the 2026–2027 school year.

Pay: Up to $28/hour (based on experience)
Start Date: 08/31/2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–3:35 PM (32 hours/week)
Duration: 11-month contract

Position Overview: Seeking a BT/RBT to provide 1:1 support for a 6-year-old first-grade student with a severe seizure disorder. The student is ambulatory, non-aggressive, and requires ongoing redirection, toileting support, and assistance with daily routines.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 classroom support
  • Assist with toileting routines and daily living skills
  • Implement ABA-based strategies
  • Monitor for seizures and respond appropriately
  • Collaborate with OT, PT, SLP, BCBA, and school staff
  • Collect data and track student progress
  • Build positive relationships with the student's family

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with developmental or medical needs preferred
  • ABA experience strongly preferred
  • RBT certification preferred but not required
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and patience

The Behavior Technician works to facilitate educational and behavioral services with children and adults with special needs and collaborates with school professionals and other behavioral specialists to achieve learning and behavioral goals and objectives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable   
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
