The Project: 

Mace, as part of MPA delivery partner joint venture of Mace-Parsons-Arcadis, have been selected as the Gateway Development Commissions partners of choice to support the GDC across the Gateway Program in New York, inclusive of the Hudson Tunnel Project.

The busiest rail connection between New York, New Jersey, and the Northeast Corridor, the Hudson Tunnel Project will improve capacity, reliability, and resiliency of commuter and intercity rail transit serving 800,000 daily passengers from Washington, D.C. to New York and New England. A milestone project supported by the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), the project is slated to receive nearly $12 billion in federal funding, the largest investment in a mass transit project in modern history.

You'll Be Responsible For: 

  • Develop, review, and maintain detailed project schedules for all phases of the project, including design, procurement, construction, and close-out.

  • Analyze and verify contractor schedules and progress updates, making recommendations for approval, amendments, or rejection as needed.

  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure schedule alignment and integration across all project packages.

  • Provide regular schedule updates and reports to project management and stakeholders, highlighting critical path activities, milestones, and potential risks.

  • Support the implementation of project controls requirements, including schedule management, in accordance with project management plans and procedures.

  • Develop and implement supplemental metrics, procedures, and processes for schedule management as required.

  • Monitor schedule performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions to maintain project timelines.

  • Prepare and present schedule-related information for daily, monthly, and quarterly project reports.

  • Facilitate schedule coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders to resolve scheduling conflicts and ensure timely completion of project activities.

  • Support interface management by integrating schedule activities across multiple project packages and reporting on interface status, issues, and resolutions.

  • Provide scheduling support to the interface management team to ensure all interface activities are reflected in the overall project schedule.

  • Evaluate the impact of changes, claims, and risk events on project schedules and recommend mitigation strategies.

  • Support the review and processing of change orders, ensuring timely and accurate schedule adjustments.

  • Update risk registers and assessment reports as they relate to schedule impacts.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or a related field.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in project scheduling for large-scale infrastructure or transportation projects.

  • Experience with Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software is required.

  • Experience with federally funded projects and compliance with regulatory frameworks is preferred.

  • Advanced knowledge of scheduling principles, critical path method (CPM), and project controls.

  • Proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and project management information systems.

  • Strong analytical skills for schedule analysis, forecasting, and reporting.

  • Excellent organizational, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.


Note: The estimated starting salary for this position is $170k. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
