Job description

Home Care Scheduler

We are looking for a Home Care Scheduler to help manage our Senior Care agency! This role makes a significant impact on our daily operations and the ability to provide the best care to patients by coordinating client services.

Teamwork and a burning desire to make sure we serve our elderly clients in the best possible way are essential attributes we look for and will help you be successful in the position.

As the Scheduler, your main responsibilities are to match clients' requested shifts with caregivers' personalities and skills, and to maintain the highest levels of client satisfaction and caregiver relations.

Hours: 8:30am-4:30pm Monday-Friday

Pay based on experience

Responsibilities:

  • Use web-based scheduling software (Wellsky formerly known as ClearCare) as the basis for all scheduling.
  • Create and maintain schedules in software system.
  • Update software system with client and caregiver notes as needed.
  • Research and brainstorm solutions to service problems, complaints, and scheduling gaps.
  • Follow-up on client and caregiver issues to make sure they are resolved.
  • Staff clients' requests, matching the needs and preferences of the clients with the skills and personalities of the caregivers.
  • Participate in determining hiring needs to maintain proper staffing levels to ensure proper coverage for all clients.
  • Perform general office duties including but not limited to word processing, photocopies, files, shreds, sort/distribute mail, provide reception coverage, telephone services, etc.
  • Share after hours on-call duties to resolve evening and weekend scheduling issues.
  • Work toward continuous quality improvement.
  • Stay current with changing technology, including software programs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and their families, caregivers, office staff, managers, and the public.
  • Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures
  • Adhere to all HIPAA regulations

Qualifications:

  • Prior home care scheduling experience preferred
  • Must be well organized and show great attention to detail
  • Proficient with computer use and software applications
  • Multi-tasker and customer service-oriented
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to speak and write English professionally.
  • Warm telephone manner.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Positive attitude with compassion and patience.
