Job Description

Based on the volume of applications received this recruitment may close at any time. Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

Under direct supervision, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Downloading and archiving finalized course and program proposals, memos, and other files related to the curriculum process.
  • Type, format, and create reports from academic and room scheduling, curriculum, and catalog software.
  • Manage and archive files from the Common Course Numbering Process.
  • Type and format content in the annual college catalog.
  • Support the transfer program through draft checking to make sure items in various documents match.
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating curriculum committee meetings including agenda and meeting minutes preparation and archiving.
Required Qualifications
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education and one year of clerical experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintaining records and reviewing forms, documents, and other written materials; OR six months of experience as an Administrative Aid in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated writing and proofreading skills, with demonstrated experience in producing error-free, high-quality documentation and professional correspondence.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with various computer programs including scheduling or curriculum or catalog software, student information systems, and Microsoft applications.
  • Experience maintaining organized digital archives and document repositories with high accuracy, security, and attention to detail.
Weekly Schedule

Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm

Starting Salary

Grade 23, Step 1 - $39,421.44

*This position is contingent upon ongoing and available funding.

Per Nevada Administrative Code (NAC 284.170), salaries for initial appointments for classified positions typically begin at Step 1. The College of Southern Nevada offers a competitive benefits package, including an excellent PERS retirement plan (a defined benefit plan), generous vacation & sick benefits, 11 paid holidays, educational benefits, and a choice between three health insurance plans that can be supplemented with flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts.
