Job description

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Scheduler to join our construction management team. The Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing project schedules throughout all stages of construction, from preconstruction through project closeout. This role requires collaboration with project managers, field teams, and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules for construction projects, including timelines, milestones, and deadlines.
  • Work closely with Project Management and Field teams, including site visits as needed, to ensure schedules reflect the actual progress and any delays.
  • Work with project teams, and subcontractors as needed to develop detailed logic and sequence in the schedule; using tools like pull planning to develop the flow / detail
  • Perform / lead regular schedule updates, variance analysis, and preliminary risk assessments to track progress and address potential delays.
  • Lead the project schedule update process; monitoring KPIs and metrics to identify schedule risk for further discussion with the project team
  • Create and analyze Time Impact Analyses for potential delays, changes, or disruptions.
  • Collect, record, and manage scheduling data from various logs (change orders, procurement, submittals, RFIs, etc.).
  • Create, maintain, and develop bid / preconstruction schedules for projects
  • Assist in the development of cash flow, crew flow forecasts, resource projections, and claims / delay documentation for the project.
  • Maintain project schedule baselines and ensure compliance with owner contracts and internal guidelines.
  • Ensure project schedules are accurately integrated into the company's scheduling database.
  • Provide training to project teams on scheduling techniques and software, fostering a culture of proactive schedule management.
  • Work collaboratively with field teams, consultants, and trade partners on planning and execution.
  • Provide ongoing support and reports to the Scheduling Director for decision-making and project updates.

Skills & Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction scheduling or project management with experience in multiple construction sectors / project types.
  • Strong proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, SureTrak, or similar).
  • Excellent knowledge of construction processes, methods, and project phases.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • OSHA certification is a plus.
