Job description

Overview
To assist and ensure the safety of guests and scare actors.
Responsibilities
• Escort, protect & assist the Scare-Actors on the midway during the Fright Fest Season as well as assist guests in the themed areas of the park
• Keep the Scare-Actors' safety in mind at all times by ensuring safe interaction between the Scare-Actors and guests.
• Escort Scare-Actors through the park, both on stage and backstage.
• Keep track of Scare-Actors in your assigned Themed Street area.
• Handle any issues that may arise in an appropriate manner.
• Keep guest safety and satisfaction in mind by answering questions regarding general park information.
• Must be able to maintain order in your assigned area through non-physical means.
• Must purchase the Park approved Fright Fest red polo and wear black pants and appropriate shoes.
• Monitor the performance of assigned performers to ensure Scare-Actors interact correctly with guests as they are trained.
• Provide direct feedback to the Scare-Actors if standards and rules are not followed in regards to safety.
• Report any behavior that may require coaching, counseling, or disciplinary/commendable action needed to help maintain and improve the performance of the group to the Supervisor.
• Diligently follow all scheduling in regards to parades, meals, breaks.
• Report any unsafe acts or conditions to the Supervisor immediately.
• Maintain a clean work environment for the assigned street area, break area, makeup area, and Show Wardrobe.
• Adhere to and enforce all park policies and procedures as outlined in their Seasonal Handbook and the Department Standard Operating Procedure Manual.
• Train new personnel as needed.
• Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Minimum Age: 16
• Must be able to work evening shifts on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays
• Must be willing to actively engage with guests to both assist them and/or stop them if they do not follow park policy.
• Must be able of stand/walk for the length of shift.
• Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Must be professional, self-motivated, the ability to multi-task and have an enthusiastic attitude
• Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with others
