Job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift Operator/Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic logistics team on a part-time basis. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating various types of warehouse equipment, utilizing RF scanners to accurately track inventory and orders, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our distribution center. Your proactive approach and adherence to safety standards will help maintain a safe, organized, and productive warehouse environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced operation while developing your skills in warehouse management and equipment operation.
Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a variety of warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and barcode/RF scanning devices to load, unload, and transport materials.
  • Use RF scanners to accurately pick, verify, receive, and move inventory while maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Perform order picking using manual handling techniques and order picker equipment to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage inventory levels through proper stock rotation, barcode scanning, RF scanning, and updating the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments against documentation, inspecting goods for damage, and ensuring proper storage.
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs on forklifts and other material handling equipment to maintain safety standards.
  • Follow OSHA safety protocols, warehouse safety standards, and forklift operating procedures at all times.
  • Support warehouse distribution operations by organizing storage areas, performing heavy lifting safely, and maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Work a part-time schedule with flexibility to meet operational needs, including overtime when available.
Requirements
  • Previous experience operating forklifts such as lift trucks, reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, or similar material handling equipment.
  • Experience using RF scanners for inventory control, order picking, shipping, receiving, and warehouse transactions.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management practices, and barcode scanning technology.
  • Ability to perform manual handling tasks, including heavy lifting, while adhering to safety standards.
  • Basic math skills for counting inventory, measuring materials, and verifying shipments accurately.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform minor equipment inspections and repairs when necessary.
  • Prior experience in shipping & receiving or warehouse distribution preferred.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations and forklift safety.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work a part-time schedule and maintain reliable attendance.

Monday - Friday : 11am - 4pm
Pay: $21.00/hr
