Salary: $23-27 hr DOE

Position Summary

Western Proppants is looking to hire a Sales / Truck Scale Administrator at our Grover, Colorado location. The position is responsible for maintaining scales, scale tickets, and accurately assigning and weighing loads to appropriate trucks and commodities. General data input, reports, emailing, memos and other office administrative work is also required with this position. The position will work with our customer trucks, trucking companies, facility staff, and our accounting and management teams to ensure accurate information is collected for every load.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage scale operations for truckload weights.
  • Enter and retrieve data and prepare reports from an online and computer-based system following established formats.
  • Prepare and report numerical calculations and spreadsheets, based on drafts, notes, and/or brief instructions utilizing Excel and/or other designated software products as specified.
  • Operate standard office equipment; perform such administrative support activities as opening and distributing mail, processing outgoing mail, filing, and other document recordkeeping functions.
  • May perform pre-shift inspections of equipment.
  • Communicate process malfunctions or irregularities to supervisor as needed.


Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Prior experience as a scale house attendant is preferred but not required.
  • Must understand and follow both written and oral instructions.
  • Must be able to communicate orally and in writing in a clear, accurate, and positive manner.
  • Must be proficient with computers and software such as Word and Excel, and must be able to learn, navigate and operate the scale systems quickly and professionally within a reasonable time following hire.
  • Prioritize work and coordinate several activities simultaneously and establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis and be at least 18 years of age.
