We are seeking a Scaffold Builder for a position in Decatur, AL. This position assembles, positions, modifies, and dismantles scaffolding to job specifications. Non-exempt role; Reports to a Frontline Supervisor (Leadman or foreman); Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school or equivalent
  • One to four years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)
  • Ability to read engineered drawings preferred
  • Ability to operate different types of Forklift
  • National Certification preferred (may be required by client)
  • Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the company Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
  • Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Functional Requirements:

Inspects surface for holes, objects, and levelness, Assembles scaffold consisting of guardrails, mid-rails, braces, planks, toe boards, screens and/or wheels, Positions scaffold by rolling it into place or erecting in place, Secures scaffold to permanent structure if required, Some other assembly types may include hard barricades, strong backs, engineered scaffold, stairways, etc., Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:
