SBA Reporting Specialist
Job Description:
Summary
The Small Business Administration (SBA) Coordinator is responsible for filing reports with the Small Business Administration (SBA) to initiate the collection of the SBA guarantee amount on defaulted and problem loans within the Bank's SBA Portfolio. This position acts as the primary liaison with the SBA for all pending guarantee requests and works in close collaboration with Relationship Managers, the SBA Division, and internal departments to ensure complete, accurate, and timely filings. This role is based in Olathe, KS and reports to the AVP, Resolution Management Operations Leader.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Prepare and file Uniform Purchase Package (UPP) reports, Care and Preservation Reports, and Wrap Up Reports with the SBA. Collaborate with Relationship Managers (RM's) in the preparation of these reports.
  • Serve as the primary associate responsible for communication with the SBA on guarantee requests. Provide supplemental information to the SBA as requested in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate responses to any denied claims with the head of RMG and the appropriate RM
  • Track and monitor expenses associated with problem SBA loans and OREO.
  • Coordinate inspections on SBA problem loans.
  • Track problem SBA loans.
  • Prepare reports for the SVP of RMG, Problem Loan Committee (PLC), and senior management as needed.
  • Work with the SBA Department as needed
  • Support special projects as assigned, potentially outside of SBA scope.
  • Become familiar with SBA Servicing and Liquidation Procedures. Attend and complete training related to SBA servicing and liquidation procedures.
  • Interact with Compliance, Legal, and Audit for SBA recordkeeping purposes.
  • Obtain and maintain Kansas Notary Public certification.
  • Assist RMG Operations as needed

Qualifications

Supervisory Responsibilities

Education and/or Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
  • Experience with SBA's E-Tran portal preferred.
  • Background in back-office SBA loan administration strongly preferred.
  • UPP preparation experience helpful but not required
  • Prior experience in lending support or special asset support is preferred

Computer and Software Skills
  • Proficiency in Google Docs, Google Sheets, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Experience with IBS/FIS, SalesForce, PCFS, and NCino is a plus.

Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations
  • Kansas Notary Public (or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire).
