East West Bank is currently seeking a SBA Portfolio Officer. This position will be primarily responsible to underwrite SBA loans to East West Bank and US SBA policies and procedures.


  • Able to analyze financial and credit information for various types of loan purpose for SBA 7A & 504 loan applications, and underwrite with accordance to SBA’s SOP 50 10 and Bank’s policy.
  • Able to compile, analyzes, and documents loan data and credit risk, borrower and property information, and coordinates activity in support of credit approval process
  • Investigate credit standards and determine credit worthiness, understands financial statements and tax returns for specific area of business
  • Support SBA team by following up on tickler items, delinquent property tax, insurance policy, and etc. to be in compliance with the terms of the loan.
  • Assist with internal audits, annual financial collection with monitoring, and annual insurance requirement
  • Perform other duties as assign.

  • 2+ years in SBA loan underwriting and portfolio management experience preferred
  • Bachelor degree required
  • In-depth knowledge of SBA SOP 50 10  
  • Good knowledge of the financial institution's commercial and consumer lending procedures
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, team work oriented, take initiatives and a self-starter.
  • Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic environment

The base pay range for this position is USD $71,000.00/Yr. - USD $110,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
