Job Description: AVP, SBA Portfolio Manager
The AVP, Community SBA Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing and monitoring a portfolio of Small Business Administration (SBA) loans, with a focus on community lending and supporting the national lending team. This role ensures credit quality, regulatory compliance, and strong borrower relationships while supporting portfolio growth and risk management objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of SBA loans, ensuring ongoing credit quality and performance
  • Monitor borrower financial performance and identify potential risks early
  • Conduct periodic credit reviews and risk assessments
  • Ensure compliance with SBA regulations and internal credit policies
  • Partner with underwriting, credit, and servicing teams to resolve issues
  • Prepare reports and portfolio analyses for senior leadership
  • Assist with audits, exams, and regulatory inquiries

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5-8 years of experience in SBA lending, credit analysis and SBA portfolio management
  • Strong knowledge and compliance with SBA SOP 50 57 loan servicing and liquidation guidelines and SBA SOP 50 10 Lender policies and guidelines
  • Experience analyzing financial statements and assessing credit risk including review of strength of borrower and internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and risk management mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with loan servicing systems and reporting tools
