Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW

The incumbent is responsible for managing the operations and servicing of the entire SBA portfolio. Key responsibilities include overseeing quality control, securing necessary SBA approvals, preparing loan authorizations, and managing all post-closing servicing requirements. Additional duties include processing and verifying loan modifications in accordance with all SBA Servicing and Liquidation guidelines. This role requires a high degree attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize given tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Quality Control & Documentation: Perform rigorous quality control checks on all application and loan documents, correcting discrepancies as necessary to ensure accuracy.
  • Authorization (Terms & Conditions) & Amendments: Prepare and issue official SBA Authorizations (Terms & Conditions); process loan and authorization (Terms & Conditions) amendments, interfacing directly with the SBA to facilitate these changes.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Interface regularly with Provident employees and potential customers to provide information, answer questions, and facilitate a smooth process.
  • Commitment Documentation: Prepare and issue commitment letters to borrowers.
  • Portfolio Maintenance & Review: Maintain the existing SBA loan portfolio by collecting and reviewing updated financial information.
  • Loan Documentation & Closings: Prepare accurate loan documents and conduct the in-house closing process.  Maintains close liaison with the bank's attorney in addition to the borrower and/or borrower's representatives to coordinate loan closings.  Attend loan closings as needed.
  • Loan Sales Administration: Prepare necessary paperwork to facilitate the bidding process for loan sales.
  • Post-Closing & Servicing: Process and coordinate all post-closing servicing actions efficiently.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and submit the mandatory monthly 1502 report, ensuring accuracy of required payments and fees.
  • Problem Resolution & Relationship Management: Resolve issues with the SBA Fiscal Transfer agent and work closely with borrowers to address and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Administrative & Reporting: Process payments for vendors and referral fees. Prepare and maintain all required management reports (daily, weekly, monthly) and assemble credit and collateral files.
  • Default Management: Prepare liquidation packages and plans for the SBA as necessary.
  • Eligibility & Compliance: Verify borrower eligibility according to all SBA guidelines and regulations.
  • Administrative Support: Perform various administrative duties as needed, including tracking insurance, monitoring compliance, and document scanning.
  • SBA Department Support: Execute specific SBA-related duties as determined by the department head and SBA Specialist team leader.
  • Participates in SBA training and webinars

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree or 5 years of relevant SBA operations experience
  • 7+ years of SBA operations experience.
  • Strong knowledge and competence with ETRAN, LendUX, Credit Lens and Connections Anywhere.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the SBA SOP, network, procedures, products and overall SBA processes and policies, including knowledge of the secondary SBA market.
  • Competence in formal writing, organizational abilities of material, presentation skill, grammatical structure and accuracy, syntax, vocabulary; an ability to construct coherent sentences and paragraphs; technical financial writing experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of current SBA policy, general loan standards, loan review administration and banking/OCC procedures, while being an independent thinker that can maintain the department and portfolio without constant. Supervision.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is mainly performed in a normal office environment.  Noise levels usually are moderate.

  • The hazards are mainly those present in a normal office setting.

PAY DETAILS

$77,000 - $110,000/annually

Please note, the base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, education, geographic location, internal equity, and other applicable business and organizational needs.

This role is incentive eligible based upon company, business, and/or individual goal achievement and performance.
