    • The hourly range for this position is $17.00 to $22.00, however starting wage will depend on qualifications, skill, and experience.

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for all prep work involved and all incoming raw linear steel from inventorying to finish the process.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate saw to cut material to required lengths

  • Determine cut sequencing to optimize material usage

  • Ability to select correct material from a blueprint or cut sheets

  • Selects and installs blade on the machine using hand tools

  • Sets control to adjust speed, feed rate, and blad tensions

  • Positions guides, stops, holding blocks, or other fixtures to secure and direct workpiece using hand tools and measuring devices

  • Mounts workpiece in holding device, manually or using hoist.

  • Verifies dimensions of the finished workpiece using measuring devices

Knowledge/Experience Requirements:

  • Knowledge of safe machine practice standards

  • Ability to read blueprints

  • Strong math skills

  • Ability to do small to moderate repairs on machinery
