Screw Machine Setup (Acme Gridley Screw Machines)

Requirements and responsibilities:
- Set up, operate and maintain multi-spindle automatic screw machines (Acme Gridley); requirements include, but are not limited to: setup and operation of machine; changing, setting cams & gears, grinding & setting form tools, shave tools, drills, cutoffs, maintenance, etc.
- Minimum of three (3) years setup experience on Acme Gridley automatic screw machines (REQUIRED)
- Minimum of five (5) years of operator experience on Acme Gridley, Davenport, New Britain, Wickman, Cone, Warner Swazey, Brown & Sharpe, Index, Traub, or other automatic screw machines (REQUIRED)
- Responsible for two machines at all times
- Very mechanically inclined
- Complete machine changeovers / setup from layout in timely fashion
- Excellent skills with measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, height gages, etc)
- Highly quality conscious
- Effectively train and oversee screw machine operators
- Follow specific work, process, safety instructions and procedures
- Complete control charts, process paperwork correctly and efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and team mentality
- Exhibit strong work ethic and attendance record
- Maintain an organized and clean work area
- Physically able to perform duties of the job
