Position: Saw Filer

Reports to: Saw Filer Superintendent

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Overview: The Saw Filer will be responsible for sharpening, repairing, and changing saws, ensuring their proper functioning, and collaborating with the team to enhance production efficiency.

Responsibilities: 

  • Safely maintain saws and saw equipment.
  • Perform machine alignment and provide preventative maintenance to saw filing machines.
  • Sharpen, repair, and change saws, and knives.
  • Service and maintain the saw filing rom and sawmill machinery.
  • Ensure proper functioning of saws for efficient production.
  • Collaborate with other team members to optimize saw performance.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a saw filer or related role.
  • Knowledge of saw filing equipment and procedures.
