Job description

We're seeking dependable, motivated STEM Tutors to support students in grades K–12 in math and science, including subjects like algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, calculus, biology, chemistry, and physics. This is an in-person tutoring role with flexible hours, ideal for teachers, substitute teachers, engineering/science majors, education majors, student teachers, experienced tutors, or anyone with a strong STEM background who wants to make a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized, 1:1 tutoring in math and/or science for students in grades K–12
  • Tailor instruction to each student's learning style, needs, and goals
  • Support homework, test prep (including standardized tests like SAT/ACT math and science sections), skill-building, and academic organization
  • Break down complex STEM concepts in a way that builds confidence and understanding
  • Submit session notes and communicate progress with families and our office

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of math and/or science at the K-12 level 
  • Prior tutoring or teaching experience with K–12 students preferred
  • Reliable transportation for in-home sessions in the Conejo Valley and surrounding areas
  • Professional, punctual, and dependable work habits
  • Minimum 3-month commitment
  • After-school availability preferred (typically 3–7pm)
  • Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in a STEM or education-related program preferred
