Cardinal Education is seeking passionate and driven Part-Time Subject Tutors to join our growing academic team. In this role, you will provide individualized academic support across a broad range of subjects, including mathematics, science, humanities, and other quantitative and writing-based coursework, helping students strengthen foundational skills while progressing toward more advanced material.


You will work closely with students in one-on-one settings to support coursework, standardized test preparation, and academic enrichment. Beyond subject instruction, you will guide students in developing effective problem-solving strategies, critical thinking skills, and confident study habits, empowering them to succeed in rigorous academic environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Academic Coaching and Mentorship

Provide one-on-one academic mentorship in various academic subjects and/or standardized exams, guiding students to discover their strengths, reduce stress, and overcome academic challenges. Complete comprehensive training programs to effectively identify and address students' individual strengths and weaknesses.


Qualifications:

Eligibility

  • Strong proficiency in high schoollevel mathematics, with the ability to teach precalculus highly preferred
  • Comfortable working evenings and weekends to support student schedules
  • Ability to commit to part-time tutoring for a minimum of one year
  • Availability of at least 5 hours per week

Experience

  • Prior experience in STEM tutoring and/or test preparation (SAT, ACT, AP, etc.) is a plus
  • Experience explaining complex concepts in a clear, student-friendly way

Education

  • Bachelors degree from a nationally accredited university.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • A high level of energy and sociability
